The workshop on Personalizing Persuasive Technologies (PPT) has been held successfully for the last five years, attracting over 100 participants from more than 20 countries and the publication of a special issue. This year’s workshop will cover several areas of personalization including personalization models, computation personalization, design and evaluation models and personalized persuasive technologies. We welcome submissions and ideas from all domains of persuasive technology and HCI including, but not limited to health, sustainability, games, safety and security, marketing, eCommerce, entertainment, and education. Accepted workshop papers will be archived online for easy access to the general public.
Workshop 2: 10th International Workshop on Behavior Change Support Systems (BCSS 2022)

Behaviour Change Support Systems (BCSS), already running for the 10th time at Persuasive Technology, is a workshop that builds around the concept of systems that are specifically designed to help and support behaviour change in individuals or groups. The highly multi-disciplinary nature of designing and implementing behaviour change strategies and systems for the strategies has been in the forefront of this workshop from the very beginning.
Workshop 3: International Workshop on Digital Nudging and Digital Persuasion (DNDP 2022)

Technology holds great potential in offering new interventions to reach a wider range of individuals faster and in a more cost-effective manner. It further allows to reach to individuals who are either in under-serviced areas/demographics or who might otherwise shun from reaching out (e.g., due to fear of social stigma). Consequently, the use of persuasive technology and nudging technologies are attracting an increasing amount of interest both in research as well as in industry. In this present workshop, the focus is on applying digital nudging strategies and persuasive techniques to engage people and thereby increase their level of competency and self-efficacy. Therefore, the expected outcome in using digital nudging and persuasion is to achieve a more sustainable behavioral change for individuals.
Tutorial 1: Persuasive systems design, evaluation and research through the PSD model
This tutorial presentation will introduce conceptual frameworks for designing, evaluating and researching persuasive systems, known as the Persuasive Systems Design (PSD) model and the Behavior Change Support System (BCSS) framework. The PSD describes the process for persuasive systems development and it explains what kind of software functionality may be implemented in the service or product. The model helps select effective persuasive features, and categorizes them into primary task, computerhuman dialogue, system credibility, and social influence. It also highlights fundamentals behind any persuasive system and ways to analyze contexts for persuasion. Results from a variety of research projects utilizing the PSD model and the BCSS framework based approaches will be presented.
Format:This is a 3-hour tutorial consisting of 2 sessions, and 2 parts in both sessions, thus a total of 4 parts, with 15 min ‘screen break’ in between the sessions
